~ high quality milktea ~ Got the Roasted Oolong milktea and it wasn't too sweet; the sugar didn't override the taste of the tea and the bobas were fresh and chewy. You also get to pick up a tiny shovel for your cream, which makes for a cute souvenir. Inside: Small square room that seats 3 parties of 1-4 people each. It's right next to a KBBQ restaurant so it will smell like Korean food when you go during dinner time.
Decent bubble tea place in k town, clean and friendly, seasonal limited items promoted on screen.
The tea came out in under 5 min. I was in and out fast. My girlfriend and her best friend both grabbed drinks and they enjoyed the hell out of them. The girls described their drinks as orgasmic. Highly recommended bringing a date here after dinner for a quick treat.
Super comfy and cozy boba shop! My friend and I came by on a Saturday afternoon because we initially wanted to go to a coffee shop to study, but they were super full and we passed by tan cha and saw that they still had space available for us to sit at. There are about 6 tables available for you to choose to sit at, but there are only outlets against the walls so not every table has it. Price: milk tea with tiramisu foam was about $6 Drink: I ordered the milk tea with tiramisu foam and I thought it was just right. It wasn't too sweet or too bitter, it was a good balance of flavor and the tiramisu foam is very unique. I don't see tiramisu foam offered at many boba places, it is light like a tiramisu cake with a hint of cheese. I wouldn't say that this drink was mind blowing or anything, but I will say it's a solid choice especially if you're not sure what to choose. TLDR; Spacious boba shop where you can get your boba fix and sit down to enjoy your drink with friends or get some studying done. Menu has various drinks to offer, so if your coffee/boba shop of choice didn't have space for you, give tan cha a shot!
Had to find street parking, but loved my lemon-y drink bc I don't drink caffeine. Also loved the outdoor seating. Never in the area, but would visit again if I was. So yum.
I got the most popular drink of Royal Ceylon with tiramisu foam. It was delicious! Super flavorful, thick foam, and almost filled me up before I had dinner plans (but I persevered.) Service was very quick too. The inside has seating. The interior was pretty dated though. The bathroom seems to be shared with other businesses and was clean.
Tan-Cha is certainly unique in the foam that they put on top of their drinks. It's very thick and does add an extra flavor texture to the drink that I appreciated. But it definitely commands a premium price for that extra foam. The inside offers a little seating which is nice, and shares a bathroom with other restaurants. It's in the middle of K-Town so you know what you're getting yourself into. There's no parking anywhere so you'll have to walk here. We enjoyed it. But certainly a one-and-done experience for us.
The taste of the food and tea at this place was pretty average, nothing particularly special, but I also didn't have any major complaints. The tea was alright, not exceptional but satisfying enough. One thing I did appreciate was the clever lid design, which could be opened into a wide-mouthed drinking piece, making it easy to enjoy my drink. Parking was a bit challenging to find, but since I had already paid for valet at another complex, I decided to park there and walk to the restaurant. On the bright side, once I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the super-fast service. It's always nice to be served promptly, and it added to the overall positive experience. I decided to try the cheese foam, and while it was a bit salty, it was still enjoyable. It added a unique twist to the drink. Despite the average taste, I'm willing to give this place another chance. The fast service and the fact that I liked the cheese foam are reasons enough for me to return and try out other items on the menu.
